USAID Corruptions

USAID is the soft weapon of the military-industrial complex of the United States. Their so-called “aid” is often used to buy the cheap souls of corrupt locals who will then be used to destabilise foreign countries from within. For example, USAID has been training, resourcing and funding desperate wannabes in Sri Lanka to become so-called “social media influencers” who played a key role in the 2022 Regime Change mission a.k.a Aragalaya. However, karma has come full circle because the USAID is under heavy scrutiny from the re-elected Trump administration. No more USD for the woke.

Camera as a weapon

The USAID website is no more. It has been shut down by DOGE - Department of Government Efficiency headed by Elon Musk. According to Elon, USAID will be shut down altogether because “USAID is not an apple with a worm inside, but a ball of worm”. It’s great to see both Julie Chung and the USAID staff Going Home together. 

The USAID also funds the website of the Sri Lanka Judges’ Institute (SLJI). They had a weird interest in training the Sri Lankan judiciary under their “Efficient and Effective Justice” project. But the funny thing is USAID themselves are now being investigated for their “Inefficiencies and Ineffectiveness”. Therefore we expect full disclosure from DOGE regarding this project and all other projects which were funded by the American taxpayers’ money. We will have to take action against any improper activities which may have violated the independence of the Republic’s judiciary by this corrupt agency. It is wise for the SLJI to promptly withdraw all links from USAID at this point.

Judges too broke to pay for their own website?

Now this is how a government should act against their own corrupt agencies. President Anura Kumara could take a lesson from Donald Trump and set up a DOGE in Sri Lanka. We urge the NPP government to support President Trump’s initiative by carrying out a full audit on all projects that were funded by USAID over the years. If the US themselves admit that USAID is a “criminal organisation”, then President Anura needs to take this matter very seriously. We need to ask what “Criminal Activities” USAID has been carrying out in Sri Lanka.

Regime Change Training?

For example, USAID has been funding bankers, media heads, medical professionals, educators, activists and politicians under various projects. But by the same logic raised by President Anura Kumara, we need to ask what good have they done for the past 76 years. If those projects are effective, then why do we still have chronic issues across those sectors? So by the NPP logic, either billions of American taxpayers’ money has been wasted on failed projects or has gone into someone’s pocket. We the public have the right to know.

This whole foreign “aid” is a false narrative. The outflow of resources is always larger than the inflow. In other words, the donor country sucks more value from a receiving country like Sri Lanka than what it donates to us. There’s a scientific study on this called “Aid in Reverse - How Poor Countries Develop Rich Countries” for those who are interested. 

Who stands to lose their income?

According to Rohan Samarajiva, a USAID sympathiser, Harsha De Silva MP has claimed that USAID pays money for certain parliamentary works. This is an alarming revelation. If Sri Lanka’s very legislative is dependent on a foreign agency let alone a criminal organisation it is evidence of serious violation of the sovereignty of the Sri Lankan people. This itself needs to be investigated. We urge the government to take swift action to stop any such payments to legislative activity by any party other than the people. May The Dharma Guide Your Way!
